Pay Respect

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Further to our message of yesterday, it is with sadness that we report the untimely death of Army Air Corps Veteran WO1 (RSM) Kenneth (Ken) Beaumont (19 Mar 44 – 13 May 20).

At the age of 76 Ken lost his battle with Covid-19. Many will have seen the messages about Ken on Facebook and will know that he was a well respected and much-liked man who gave dedicated service throughout a career that started in the Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Artillery in 1960.

Like many of our old comrades from that time he served in the Army Air Corps on secondment from the RA. One of his early units was 654 Squadron. He badged Army Air Corps in the 1970s and was posted to 4 Regiment, West Germany. Ken’s final posting was as RSM of 7 Regiment in Netheravon before he retired in 1984. Ken was immensely proud of his Service in our Corps and was a staunch member of the AACVA in retirement.

Our thoughts are with his children, Andrew, Angela and Emma and his many friends.

Kind Regards

Vic
