Pay Respect

I have just received this from the Regt Sec:

I regret to inform the wider Army Aviation family of the death of Philip (Phil) Green on 11 Feb 14 aged 65. Phil was born in Cardiff and joined the Army Apprentice College as a Junior Signaller in 1964. He qualified as an Army Pilot in 1974 but left the Army in 1978 to start a civilian flying career; first in Northern Scottish Helicopters, then the Northern Lighthouse Board and later the Air Ambulance Service in Scotland, where he served until 2008. Phil also had a period as a TA Pilot with 3 Flt AAC operating out of RAF Leuchars. He concluded his flying career flying for Bond Helicopters in the North Sea in 2012. Phil is survived by his wife Cathy, who he married in 1973, and their sons Justin and Chris.

He was not a member of the Association therefore we do not have a note of his address nor do we know the cause of his untimely death. The information was spotted as an obituary notice in The Scotsman on 27 Feb 14 and forwarded to us by a member of the Association.
