Captain David Randall died on the 13th of June after a long illness in a hospital close to his home in Soubes, Southern France.
David was formally a member of the RAOC and flew Lynx with 1Regiment AAC in Hildesheim, he later attended CFS and was an Instructor at the AACC. He later transferred to the Royal Air Force and instructed at CFS Shawbury and then as a pilot Instructor at RAF Odiham before returning to the Army Air Corps. Latterly he became an instructor with Bristows, again at Middle Wallop.
David’s last flying position was at Oxford Air Training School Kidlington as an instructor.
Soubes, France was the family home until he became very ill. He remained in hospital until he died last week. He leaves his wife Gwen, a daughter Katie and a granddaughter.
The funeral will be held in France on the 20th June.
